AGING AND DURABILITY TESTING

Durability and Aging Tests, also known as HALT (High Accelerated Life Test) are processes for testing a product by subjecting it to conditions (stress, strain, temperatures, etc.) in excess of its normal service parameters in an effort to uncover faults and potential modes of failure in a short amount of time. By analyzing the product’s response to such tests, it is possible to determine if all the initial requirements of the materials and components defined in the product development are working correctly and the product will thus meet the expectation of warranty.
